The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and after fermentation, aged for 19 months in new French oak, followed by a further 12 months of bottle aging. The intense and full-bodied wine shows aromas of red berries and cassis, along with black pepper and notes of tobacco. The tannins are smooth and the finish is long and elegant, showing great varietal expression.
