Cloudy, creamy, rustic.
This rustic orange wine is made from blend of co-fermented Viognier, Gewurztraminer and Gruner Veltliner. It went through a natural secondary fermentation 11-months in while aging in new Russian oak.
Buchanan describes his small cuvee wines as sustainable, honest and progressive, producing wines with personality and a purity of flavour. Buchanan uses indigenous yeast, minimal amounts of sulfites, no enzymes and no temperature control. They are un-fined with little to no filtration.
This skin-contact orange wine offers aromas of dried powdery flowers, cedar chips and orange slices, dried apricot, fleur de sel and smoked spices. Expect flavours of bitter orange and tea leaf, wild grass and a suggestion of spice. Cloudy with a creamy weight, it maintains freshness throughout.
