Janzen Cabernet Sauvignon Missouri Hopper 2018

Product description
The valley floor location of the Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard provides exceptional terroir for Cabernet Sauvignon. On the southern boundary of the Oakville AVA , this is one of the Napa Valley’s oldest grape growing locations with its initial planting dating back to the late 1800’s.

2018 was a balanced and generous growing season, achieving excellent ripeness through long hang times and assuring fully mature flavour profiles in the resulting wines. Their valley floor vineyards like Missouri Hopper fared particularly well. Opulent fruit and fine grained tannins matched with perfect acidity are remarkable in this wine. It will stand the test of time.

95 Points - Wine Enthusiast    Earthy in compost, iron and graphite, this is a full-bodied and fully integrated wine with a remarkably elegant structure. Black currant and blackberry fruit components are richly layered throughout a core of supple tannin and lasting oak.
