Multi-award winning Glenfarclas Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky has been distilled on Speyside for six generations byone family – the Grants. The Glenfarclas Distillery was legally established in 1836, on the Recherlich Farm at Ballindalloch, in the heart of Speyside. In 1865, John Grant purchased the distillery for £511. Situated in the heart of Speyside – malt whisky country – Glenfarclas, translated from the Gaelic as “Glen of the green grassland”, nestles at the foot of the Ben Rinnes mountain.
In 1994, the course of Christmas playlists was forever changed when Mariah Carey and East 17 released their chart toppers, and in far more delicious news, this Highland single malt was distilled at Glenfarclas. The whisky matured in a single fourth-fill butt, and was bottled in 2022 for the summer release of The Family Casks series. Only 297 bottles of this one, at an easy-drinking 45.4% ABV.
