Joining Hunter Laing's Old & Rare Platinum collection comes this cracking single malt from Cragganmore. Distilled in October 1995, the whisky spent the next 26 years resting in a single sherry butt, which yielded a total of 300 cask strength bottles when it was opened in 2022.
Nose: Toasted almonds and cherry Madeira cake, leathery oak, and soft, buttery fruit.
Palate: Woody spice builds alongside biscuity malt and chocolate raisins. Roasted nuts and drying spice gather beneath.
Finish: Sweet and spicy with fiery cinnamon, poached pears, prickles of pepper, and boozy sultanas.
