The 16-year-old release from the Royal Brackla single malt Scotch whisky range, and perhaps the pick of the bunch with an abundance of spicy Oloroso character. It's also beautifully presented, with a huge punt.
Nose: Ripe red apple first before thick crème brûlée takes charge with apricot, custard and a little Buttercup cough syrup.
Palate: Spicy, caramelized apples, orchard fruit, vanilla, and fresh black cherries.
Finish: Rich cocoa and baking spices.
Overall: Indulgent and regal chocolate spice character.
