Camaraderie Cellars, a Port Angeles winery in the Puget Sound AVA, is committed to making small lots of premium wine on the north Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. Their wines are distinctive for the pedigree of the grapes. They are fortunate to have long-term partnerships with several very high quality vineyards including Crawford Vineyard, Sagemoor Farms (Dionysus, Weinbau and Gamache vineyards), LeTendre Vineyards, Upland Vineyards, Hattrup Vineyards and Destiny Ridge. Camaraderie wines are known for balance, intensity, and complexity that complement a wide range of foods and honor our vineyard partners’ passion for quality and individuality.
This vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from three vineyards, each within 10 miles of each other but couldn't be more different. Red Mountain AVA fruit comes in the earliest and is big and tannic as hot sites are. Chandler Reach Vineyard comes in next and is from a northern slope of the Yakima Valley and the fruit tends to be more balanced with noticeable cherry notes. The Meek Family vineyard is comparatively high elevation and although south facing, comes in a full month after the Red Mountain fruit. It tends to the more floral notes.
