A long family history of growing Nebbiolo grapes coupled with a great appreciation for the soil of Barbaresco underpins the qualities of the wine made by Cantina del Pino.

Made of 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the hills overlooking Barbaresco, this wine delivers a delicate perfume reminiscent of dark cherry and black pepper with a hint of tobacco from a fine cigar. Elegant and fully ripe it has a wonderful structure and balance. Aged for two years in the oak and one year in the bottle, this wine is as good now as it will be aged for many years.

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate    The Cantina del Pino 2017 Barbaresco reveals a beautifully light garnet color in the glass. The wine shows extra intensity in terms of its aromas with wild rose, lilac and cherry. That combination of floral and fruity doesn't completely define the bouquet because you also get a good dose of crushed mineral, smoke and spice. Like most of the wines I tasted from this vintage, this release of 13,000 bottles shows extra power and tightness in terms of its tannins. Give it a little extra bottle time.

91 Points - Wine Spectator    A sleek red, with cherry and strawberry flavors and accents of eucalyptus and tobacco. Racy and elegant, yet with firm tannins in the balance and a lightly astringent finish.
