Chateau Clerc Milon 2009 - 1.5 L
Web Price: $221.00
Chateau Clerc Milon, a fifth growth in the Bordeaux 1855 classification, is owned by the late Baron Phillipe Rothschild, of Chateau Mouton Rothschild, and remains in the stable of wineries owned by Chateau Mouton (although the vineyard is a neighbour of Chateau Lafite, owned by another branch of the Rothschild family). The 45 hectare vineyard of Clerc Milon in Pauillac is planted to 50% Cabernet Sauvignon , 36% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and (somewhat unusually for Bordeaux) 1% Carmenere.
95 Points James Suckling - "What an amazing nose of lead pencil shavings and dark fruits. Stunning. Full bodied, with super silky tannins and an amazing depth of fruit. Polished and refined. Gorgeous. 50% Cabernet Sauivgnon, 44% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot, and 1% Carmenere. Best after 2017."
