Perrin Gigondas Clos Des Tourelles 2019

Product description

Famille Perrin’s involvement in the wine trade can be traced back to 1909 with the purchase of Château de Beaucastel. Today the 5th generation of the family is involved in every aspect of the business. Famille Perrin’s range of wines enable you to discover the richness and diversity of the Southern Rhone Valley.

Le Clos des Tourelles is a model of elegance. It shows a beautiful dense red color with plum undertones and reveals a very refined nose with subtle notes of violets and pepper. It also offers excellent finesse on the palate with superb aromas of blackcurrants and licorice and an exquisite and long finish.

97 Points - Jeb Dunnuck

All Grenache that was vinified in tank and brought up in tronconique wooded tank, the 2019 Gigondas Clos Des Tourelles is up there with the top vintages of this cuvée and is well worth seeking out. Roughly 60% destemmed, it has a core of black raspberry fruit as well as lots of ground pepper, spice, violets, and floral notes in its full-bodied, ultra-fine, pure, seamless style. It’s a heavenly Gigondas that will evolve for 15-20 years if stored correctly.

96 Points - James Suckling

Striking nose of very small red and black berries, together with powdered spice. Rich and sophisticated with a very silky and sensual texture on the palate, in spite of the dense core of fine tannins. Very long and refined finish that doesn’t want to stop.
