The grapes for our Cabernet Merlot come from several vineyards in the south Okanagan Valley. The blend consists of 68% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, 2% Syrah and 1% Petit Verdot. The wine was tank fermented and aged in older (80%)American oak and (20%) French oak barrels for 14 months. This Rooster shows great ‘posture’ as he moves through the flock. Ever-changing notes of blue plum, black cherry, currant and smoky oak escape from the glass. This medium-bodied red has soft, smooth tannins, and fruit-flavours of cherry, blueberry and plum, accented by a touch of spice. Enjoy now through 2023.
