Deep ruby in colour. Savoury umami with sage underbrush, mixed forest floral notes and a hint of grapefruit citrus on the nose. The palate is elegant, complex and focused with star anise, wild berries and bramble. Dusty cocoa tannins and notes of wood and spice on the finish. A well-structured wine, nuanced with bright acidity and layered dark fruit. Pair with stuffed mushrooms, grilled lamb chops or beef mushroom stroganoff.
