Joe Dobbes, one of Oregon's most successful winemakers, strips away the pretension and injects some fun into this Pinot Noir rosé. He sells it for a low price, due to grapes from his 189-acre Sea Breeze Vineyard west of Salem, Oregon, and he makes the dry rosé for this tier using the saignée method. Aromas of dried strawberry, raspberry, peach, and rose petals emerge from the watermelon colour. The same fruit aromas are spread throughout the palate, with some early lusciousness giving way to a crisp and satisfying blood orange finish that readily washes away any residual sugar.
