Product description

Mission Hill Family Estate, established in 1981 by Anthony von Mandl, is a pioneering winery located in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation, Mission Hill has played a pivotal role in elevating Canadian winemaking on the global stage. The Legacy Series represents the pinnacle of their portfolio, showcasing wines crafted from the finest estate-grown grapes.

Wine Description
The 2019 Quatrain is a harmonious blend of 47% Syrah, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc. It presents a deep ruby hue, indicative of its concentration. On the nose, it offers an enticing bouquet of dark red fruit, subtle baking spice, vanilla, cigar, and charred oak. The palate delivers vibrant layers of dark cherry, black currant, and clove characteristics, balanced with a silky tannin structure and a persistent finish. Aged for 19 months in 23% new French oak, this wine is approachable now but will continue to develop complexity over the next 5 to 7 years.

Food Pairing
This versatile red pairs beautifully with grilled lamb chops, roasted duck breast, or a hearty mushroom risotto. For a cheese pairing, consider aged Gouda or a mild blue cheese. These combinations enhance the wine's depth and character, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
