Gordon & Macphail Mortlach Distillery Label 1974

A 46 year old single malt from the Mortlach Distillery, this whisky was distilled in 1974 and bottled by Gordon & Macphail for their Private Collection series. One of only 199 bottles filled from a refill sherry butt.

Nose Sherry aromas are followed by brown sugar, rum, raisin and warm spice.

PalateSweet smooth flavours of stewed spiced damsons with fig & apricot conserve, Seville orange peel & charred oak develope.

FinishLong with sweet and spicy notes and lingering roasted hazelnuts.
