Argyle Pinot Noir Reserve 2021

Product description
In 1987, Argyle was founded by pioneering vintner Rollin Soles, with a belief that the cool climate of Oregon’s Willamette Valley was ideal for producing sparkling wines. Their winemaking program now includes sparkling wines, Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs and Rieslings, which have earned acclaim for their elegance, vineyard-driven character and uncommon age-ability. While Argyle has quietly established a reputation as an Oregon icon, they have remained deeply rooted in the Willamette Valley community, and true to the grower-first ideals that inspired its founding.

This Pinot Noir showcases the elegance and silky texture found across its four sites throughout the Willamette Valley. Red cherry, rose petal, and savoury tea layers abound, with an underlying minerality weaving together with firm, yet polished tannins and dynamic energy. Cold soaking and fermenting entirely in small, 1.5-ton fermenters enhanced the wine’s silkiness, while 20% whole cluster inclusion contributed freshness, layered complexity, and vibrant length.
