At this point (2024) we know the price of the wine, but we do not know the cost of the product registration, recycling costs, freight costs, insurance costs, and potential storage fees. In past years, all these costs accounted for approximately $20 - $30 per bottle. In other words, at the time of delivery (2026), we will calculate all the charges due before the wine is released. GST will also be charged before delivery.

The 2026 Futures Campaign will close on August 7th, 2024. If you see a wine you want to purchase, please place the order as soon as possible. It does not matter if you place multiple orders. Do not wait until the last minute, as some wines may sell out.

Product description

This wine will be delivered after the Spring of 2026.

The wine shows a very lovely yellow colour. The first nose is complex and moderately intense. On swirling, a ripe fruitiness emerges, on hints of white-fleshed peach, with a slightly lemony touch; then delicate floral notes emerge. The lively, stirring first taste is a surprise when we consider the ripeness the aromas let us imagine. The wine is juicy mid-palate and finishes ample and full-bodied. The wine is long and seems to never want to leave the palate. This Mission is a classic of this estate.

96+ Points - James Suckling

A creamy, round texture with ripe yet fresh aromas and flavors, showing apples, pears and hints of peaches. Medium- to full-bodied, polished and satisfying. 65.3% sauvignon blanc and 34.7% Semillon.

More Sauvignon Blanc-dominated, the 2023 Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc is 65.3% Sauvignon and 34.7% Semillon. It has a very pure, crisp, medium-bodied style as well as beautiful citrus, lemon, and honeysuckle-driven aromatics, with just hint of background minty herbs. It's not massive by any means, but it has the supple, ripe fruit of the vintage paired with vibrant acidity.

93+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Offering up generous amounts of lemon oil, spices and ripe orchard fruits with a touch of spring flowers, the 2023 La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and broad, with a rich, aromatic palate. It concludes with an ethereal, powerful finish that carries elegant white fruit notes. It's a blend of 65.3% Sauvignon Blanc and 34.7% Semillon.

93+ Points - Vinous

The 2023 La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc is driven by the Sauvignon Blanc (65%) on the nose: Granny Smith apples, kiwi fruit, slate and light spicy aromas. There’s very fine delineation, but I err toward the more nuanced Haut-Brion Blanc. The palate is lively on the entry with a touch of white pepper, very good tension and ample energy. Conference pear mixes with melon and grassy notes toward the finish. This will provide immediate pleasure over the next 20 years, though Haut-Brion Blanc has the intellectual heft.
