CheckMate’s 2015 Capture Chardonnay is sourced from the most southerly vineyards in the Okanagan Valley, the Border Vista Vineyard along the Osoyoos East Bench situated on the Canada-US border. This rich and textured Chardonnay highlights the expressive tropical and orchard fruit characteristics this desert region produces and which CheckMate captures so masterfully in their ultra premium wines. Capture 2015 shows chilled pineapple mousse with whipped cream, stone fruit, baked almond croissants, baking spices, and fresh vanilla bean. The palate highlights the creamy texture, with fleshy stone fruit, spice, and mouthwatering minerality on the long finish.
