David Reynaud Domaine les Bruyeres Crozes Hermitage 2017

Product description

David Reynaud is the present owner of this vineyard, which his forefathers established in the 18th century. The vineyard has been in the Reynaud family for several generations, and it became increasingly focused on winemaking during World War II, when David's grandfather, Georges Reynaud, expanded it to a total surface area of 17 acres. As a result, Georges receives this unique wine.

Made entirely of Syrah from old vineyards that are over 60 years old. Hand-harvested and sorted. This wine was vinified without the use of yeast. The resulting wine was matured in used barriques for 12 months.

On the nose, there's dark fruit, black pepper, and a trace of licorice. The palate reveals full-bodied fruit, crisp acidity, and a robust tannic bite. Sweet spices, violet, and licorice dominate the finish.
