With this Premier Cru, we are in the Combe de Lavaux, a marl-limestone terroir which rests on a vast cone of dejection to the west of Gevrey-Chambertin . More precisely, we are on the northern slope of this combe, the Côte Saint-Jacques, which carries many Premier Crus facing south and soaked in heat.
The Harmand-Geoffroy estate proceeds here as elsewhere: manual harvesting, traditional and precise vinification, aging in wood with half new barrels.
It thus offers a Premier Cru marked by red fruits and a wild side, with breadth, roundness and a very structured mouth.
