One of the northernmost vineyards in the Gevrey Chambertin appellation, La Combe aux Moines, or "The Monks Combe," borders Les Cazetiers to the south. White marl and fossiliferous clay make up the soils of the 12 acre vineyard, which has an eastern exposure. On the highest southern edge of the vineyard, Domaine Faiveley is the sole landowner of a 2.96 acre piece.
