FiaNobile Frappato

Product description

FiàNobile di Gaetano Corallo is a farm that specialises in the cultivation and manufacture of wine using artisanal processing of grapes typical of the Vittorio area. Gaetano, an agronomist and winemaker, was able to connect his love for Sicily with his greatest interest, wine. The company makes its wines using techniques that mix modern viticulture's technological breakthroughs with Sicilian artisanal customs. FiàNobile's purpose is to promote South Eastern Sicily, a region rich in culture and with a strong identity, through the production and marketing of its wine, particularly the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG.

Frappato vines most likely originated in the Vittoria area. The famous ampelographer Baron Antonio Mendola was the first to describe the grape variety by referring that the variety could have originated in the municipality of Vittoria where it had been cultivated since the seventeenth century.

Frappato gives rise to wines of little chromatic intensity, intense aromas of flowers and fruit are perceived on the nose , as well as intense spicy notes. In the mouth it has a moderately rich body, balanced tannins, fresh and of great finesse . Ripens towards the end of September. Roasted red pepper and sun-dried tomato pair beautifully with frappato. You'll also find it to be ideal for fall harvest delicacies like roast turkey and cranberry sauce.
