Frias Family Vineyard 'Lady of the Dead' 2021

Product description

In 1977, the Frias Family purchased 100 acres in the iconic Spring Mountain District of Napa Valley.  They planted just 5 acres in 1985 and launched FRIAS Family Vineyard with their first vintage in 1987.  FRIAS now has 13 acres of hillside vineyards planted to Cabernet Sauvignon.  They source premium fruit from Oakville & Yountville AVAs.  Second generation brothers Fernando and Manny Frias Jr. are at the helm of this artisanal family winery. Todd Heth has been their winemaker since 2004.

Lady of the Dead is a homage to the Frias heritage and family. This Cabernet-heavy blend is a serious step up from the debut release in intensity and quality. Starting with a bouquet of red fruits, cinnamon and spice, the wine then coats the palate with notes of lush burgundy plums and blackberries, concluding with balancing sweet tannins. This Lady is ready to be taken seriously.
