The eighth-release of cask strength 10-year-old from Glenallachie is a marriage of Pedro Ximenez and oloroso sherry puncheons, as well as a small number of virgin oak and ex-Rioja red wine casks, specially selected by master blender Billy Walker. The result is a nose that bursts with mocha, nutmeg and walnut aromas, followed by heather honey, sweet raisins and dried berries. The palate offers notes of cinnamon, molasses, honeycomb, ginger, dark chocolate, nutmeg and fennel that linger in the finish.
