Glenfarclas Family Cask 1991 (Cask 5679) Summer Release 2022

Product description

Multi-award winning Glenfarclas Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky has been distilled on Speyside for six generations by one family – the Grants. The Glenfarclas Distillery was legally established in 1836, on the Recherlich Farm at Ballindalloch, in the heart of Speyside. In 1865, John Grant purchased the distillery for £511. Situated in the heart of Speyside – malt whisky country – Glenfarclas, translated from the Gaelic as “Glen of the green grassland”, nestles at the foot of the Ben Rinnes mountain.

This addition to the Summer 2022 Family Casks release from Glenfarclas was distilled in 1991. The single cask Highland single malt whisky matured in a sherry butt, and was bottled in July 2022, with an outturn of 567.

It presents itself with great elegance and charm on the nose. The palate is very powerful and complex. Smooth texture. Impressive length on the finish, very unique and complex.
