Product description

91 Points - Allen Meadows - Burghound     This was virtually exactly like the sample I tasted in November of '02. Very ripe fruit aromas combine with wood spice, mocha and earth notes and intense, pure flavors plus a sexy, seductive, beautifully long finish. This is rich, full and generous with the best density of any of these 2000s and it displays solid power and length. Lovely and very stylish if not genuinely profound.

90 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar     Medium-deep red. Musky dark fruits, coffee, cocoa powder and oak on the nose. Dense and sweet but also vinous and penetrating. Quite suave in the middle palate, with good freshness for the cave and for the year. The longest and classiest of these 2001s.
