K Vintners El Jefe 2007

Product description

“K is the beginning. K is my Rhone-centric winery that was started by making single-vineyard Syrahs back in 1999. K was the opportunity. K was the moment. K is ground zero. 'X' marks the spot for my wine world and my emotional world in wine, which begins in Walla Walla, Washington.” —Winemaker, Charles Smith

95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate    The 2007 El Jefe En Chamberlin is a blend of 75% Tempranillo and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.  Aromas of smoke, espresso, mineral, licorice, and blackberry lead to a dense, concentrated, impeccably balanced wine should continue evolving for another 4-6 years and offer a drinking window extending from 2014 to 2027." (08/10)  No, this wine won't make you start seeing Dali-esque like visions, but it may bring out your inner Spaniard. Made from Tempranillo (75%) and Cab (25%) from the En Chamberlain Vineyrd in Walla Walla, this has iron, earth, and meaty notes that will transport you, plus hints of blackberry and black cherry fruit. Only 134 cases produced.
