Kettle Valley Old Main Red 2016

Product description

The flagship red wine from Kettle Valley Winery is the Bordeaux blend, Old Main Red, named for the vineyard where most of the grapes are grown. The wine is popular among those who collect and cellar red wines from the Okanagan. The winemaking style at Kettle Valley is well suited to collectible wines. The winery’s reds, when carefully cellared, will live 15 years, perhaps longer.

This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, grown primarily in their ” Old Main” vineyard with 5% Petit Verdot and Malbec grown in their King Drive vineyard, both located in Naramata. The grapes were hand-picked on October 21, 2016, at approximately 25.2 brix. The wine has gone through full malolactic fermentation and was aged in French oak for 21 months prior to bottling.
