Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 5

The latest Batch is the 5th in the series, bottled at 57.7% and its recipe features 85% bourbon and 15% sherry in its makeup.

Nose – Sweet, sooty peat smoke kicks off this malt, reminiscent of toasting marshmallows on a beach campfire. This combines with a maritime influence typical of Campbeltown whisky, with notes of salt and fishing creels.

Palate – The ash and soot from the nose is immediately apparent on the palate, along with digestive biscuits. This is balanced with sweet hints of fruit salad sweets, foam banana and red apples.

Finish – Hints of red fruits and mineral notes round off this malt.
