Aged for 10 years this compelling red opens with classic Sangiovese aromas of underbrush new leather ripe wild berries and crushed botanical herbs. Showing the depth and complexity of age combined with the freshness of youth the elegantly structured palate features ripe black cherry orange zest licorice and tobacco framed in silky tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced. Drink through 2037.

This red is beginning to find its sweet spot revealing mushroom leather fading cherry berry earth and mineral aromas and flavors. Still firm with fine equilibrium and an expansive finish that has freshness and grip. Begs for braised beef Bolognese or wild boar ragu. Drink now through 2037.

97 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Sangiovese can age with grace and care and that's what this wine teaches us. Aromas of wild berry dried current red orange earth and rusty nail converge with precision. The wine's color is vibrant and bright despite the nearly 10 years of age and the mouthfeel is light and radiant in intensity. There is a lot of aspiration in this wine and I think you'll be inspired.

Here's a late-release Brunello that's showing some wonderful age and beauty. 2012 was a hot year and made rather jammy wines but this has come together beautifully with pure cherry and berry aromas and flavors as well as floral undertones and hints of forest floor. It's long and wonderfully soft and fruity at the end. From organically grown grapes. Drink now or hold.

The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Dieci Anni is breathtaking pulling you close to the glass with a dark rich display of crushed autumn leaves dried roses and black cherries. This is texturally stunning as well velvety yet somehow lifted offering exotic spices tart berries plums and inner florals that seem to cascade across the senses. The palate aches with youthful tension through the long and almost chewy finale as nuances of licorice and balsam herbs slowly fade. The 2012 leaves a staining of concentration upon the palate. What a gorgeous wine!
