Macchion Dei Lupi Esperiemze Toscana 2013

The Tuscan Maremma coastal hills, located on Italy's western coast, are famed for their rocky, mineral-rich soils, which produce low-yield, high-flavor wine grapes. Esperienze is a wine made up of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Sangiovese from Maremma. With no clarifications or filtrations and very low sulfite levels, the winery's aim is to let the grape shine through. Only natural yeasts are used in the fermentation process. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 24 months before bottling. The end product is a robust wine with a deep red hue and a warm, well-balanced flavour. This wine is the epitome of Mediterranean goodness.

All of the Macchion dei Lupi wines are made from organically grown grapes using biodynamic farming methods.
