This wine exemplifies the stylistic evolution of Perpetua under winemaker Darryl Brooker, which began with the 2015 vintage. More Naramata fruit, earlier picked, less oak, and more reductive winemaking. Better yet, he's taken the quality to another level. This is modern, world-class Chardonnay. It would be easy to call this one of the best in the Okanagan, but that would be underselling it. It's beautifully restrained with bright citrus fruits and subtle oak, taut yet concentrated, with flinty, matchstick adding complexity. Highly recommended.
