Their guiding principal at Terralsole is that great wine is made in the fields, not in the cantina. This is why they chose their Terroir very carefully, balancing the characteristics of their two distinctly different Brunello Vineyards to produce wines that are elegant yet well structured and above all, balanced. Each vintage reflects the unique climate conditions of the year while maintaining the common thread of balance and elegance that have come to define Terralsole wines.

2008 - This is a classic Brunello Vintage. Perfectly balanced with a blend of leather and dried apricot notes.

2011 - This wine offers typical Sangiovese aromas of wild berry, crushed blue flower, aromatic herb, new leather and a trace of pipe tobacco. The ripe, chewy palate doles out juicy black cherry, raspberry compote, liquorice and espresso while brawny, velvety tannins envelope the palate.

2012 - Underbrush, grilled herb, new leather and spiced plum aromas lead the nose of this chewy Brunello. The palate doles out juicy black cherry, raspberry compote, licorice and pipe tobacco notes, framed by robust, fine grained tannins. Despite the powerful structure and hefty alcohol, it has elegance.

2013 - 94 Points Wine Spectator... A fruity version, this features cherry, strawberry, floral, licorice and spice flavors. Starts out smoothly, with the back end revealing a solid frame. All the parts are in the right place, and this should develop nicely. Best from 2021 through 2037.

2015- Underbrush, grilled herb, new leather and spiced plum aromas lead the nose of this chewy Brunello. Plum, leather, eucalyptus, violet and botanical herb aromas lead the nose on this fragrant red. The linear palate has body and finesse, offering licorice, raspberry jam and espresso alongside taut close grained tannins.

2016 -  Bright red in colour. Ripe strawberry, violet, cinnamon and almond paste on the sexy, inviting nose, then juicy and fresh on the palate, with ripe red fruit and spice flavours nicely supported by silky tannins and vibrant acidity. Finishes with a whiplash of red berries, cherry syrup and minerals. With its early accessibility and considerable uncomplicated appeal, this is hard to put down.

Brunello di Montalcino pairs well with many dishes from earthy mushroom risotto, meats, and cheeses, and shines with wild meats, pecorino cheese as well as hearty vegetarian dishes.
