Yoshi No Gawa transcends twenty generations as the oldest brewery in the Niigata Prefecture, since 1548! Niigata is famous for its water, and for one of the most famous varieties of rice for sake brewing, gohyaku-mangoku. This rice variety, the highlight of Goku Jo, creates softness and an extended body feel in this delicious sake.
With an aromatic profile of apples, orange blossom, and anise, this sake delivers a smooth freshness. The soft acid structure and flavours of nectarine and fennel lend to a clean palate and long herbaceous finish. Pair Goku Jo with Raw Oysters, Carrot Ginger Soup, or Camembert Cheese.
