SpearHead Pinot Noir Okanagan Valley 2019

Product description
SpearHead's Pinot Noir uses a combination of fruit from the Gentleman Farmer Vineyard in SE Kelowna & Golden Retreat Vineyard in Summerland. Pinot Noir Clone 115 and 667 are separately hand harvested, destemmed to small batches and cold soaked for 5-7 days before fermentation by indigenous yeasts. The total time on skins is 16-21 days. After a gentle press the wine completes malolactic fermentation and is aged 13 months in French oak barrels (25% new).

Aromas of spiced plum, clove, sage and star anise on the nose. The palate displays more fruit, dark cherry, blueberry and blackberry. Well balanced, with soft, integrated tannin. Enjoy now or cellar approximately  for 5 years. Pair with rigatoni with sausage and peppers, broccoli and cheddar casserole, butternut squash and black bean enchilada, bacon-stuffed mushrooms, and baked brie with sweet pepper jelly.
