Product description

This iconic London Dry gin originates from England, originally crafted in the Bloomsbury district of London. In 1830, founder Charles Tanqueray broke family tradition to establish his Vine Street distillery, where he experimented with over 300 recipes before perfecting his signature blend. Today, the brand is owned by Diageo and production has moved to the Cameronbridge Distillery in Fife, Scotland, though it still utilizes 'Old Tom'—a historic copper pot still that survived the Axis bombing of the original London distillery during World War II.

Gin Description

Tanqueray is widely considered the benchmark for the London Dry style, characterized by its purity and exceptional smoothness achieved through a quadruple-distillation process.

The aroma is vibrant and piney, dominated by juniper and complemented by peppery coriander, aromatic angelica, and the subtle sweetness of liquorice. On the palate, the gin is balanced and dry, delivering a rich juniper flavour with a satisfyingly smooth mouthfeel. The body is bold yet refined, leading to a long, full finish that lingers with hints of spice and warming citrus notes.

The botanical composition remains a closely guarded trade secret but is known to feature just four key ingredients: juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, and liquorice. Its optimal drinking window is now, as it is a non-vintage spirit intended for immediate enjoyment. The overall stylistic note is one of timeless elegance and reliability, making it a perennial favourite for bartenders worldwide..
