Laphroaig 34 Year Old 'The Ian Hunter Story' - Book 4

Product description

The fourth installment of the Laphroaig Ian Hunter Story – “The Malt Master” – tells the story of Laphroaig distillery’s in-house floor maltings, established by Ian Hunter himself during his tenure as distillery manager.

Hidden within this tome, you will also find a very fine bottle of whisky! This heavily peated spirit from Laphroaig distillery was matured in a combination of American oak ex-Bourbon casks and European oak first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks. Whisky drawn from these casks was skillfully married and the finished expression has a minimum age of 34 years.

Sweet notes of golden syrup, caramel cookie, honey notes, black pepper, tobacco leaves, eucalyptus on the nose. The palate is peaty, sweet, with peach, orange blossom, and earthy floral notes.
