It is made from Tempranillo and Red Garnacha from vineyards in the three sub-areas in Rioja with different soil types: Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Oriental, northward-facing in the foothills of the Sierra de la Demanda. The wine is aged in medium-roasted white American (Ohio) and French oak barrels for 14 months, decanting every four months to facilitate natural filtering. It then stays for six months in the bottle for refinement.
Cherry red with a ruby rim and red fruit overtones. It is smoky with hints of licorice. In the mouth, it is clean, tasty, fresh and balanced. It has a lengthy finish, both fruity and spicy. Leathery black plum and currant aromas include a note of vanilla on a primarily harmonious and familiar Rioja nose. This Crianza feels juicy and solid. Plum, wild berry and mild oak flavours finish steady and direct, with smooth tannins.
