The Cornas terroir is made up of granite arenas which have been shaped by the Rhone. The climate is temperate, strongly nuanced by exposure to the South and the Arlettes massif to the North which protects the appellation from cool winds.
The 2020 vintage was marked by a particularly mild and sunny spring and summer. The combined effect of the heat during the day and the nights which always remained cool allowed the vines to fully flourish until harvest time. The harvest was early and went perfectly.
A complex and refined nose with floral notes, aromas of rosemary, licorice but also spicier notes with quite marked pepper. The palate is concentrated and elegant. The strength of the tannins and their silky and velvety appearance give a perfectly balanced structure. The fleshy finish reveals smoky aromas.
