Foris Pinot Noir Rogue Valley 2019

Product description

The Rogue Valley is Oregon's southernmost recognized wine-growing region. The AVA was established in 1991 and comprises four principal areas: Bear Creek Valley, Valley of the Rogue, Applegate Valley and Illinois Valley. Foris is known for crafting Pinot Noir of considerable vibrancy and elegance that exhibits excellent balance and poise.

Deep ruby red in the glass, this Estate Pinot Noir is fragrant with aromas of plum, fresh herb, and an enticing, signature floral note. Medium bodied on the palate, it offers a mixture of raspberry, berry compote, mocha, and white pepper with good persistence and acidity.

90 Points - James Suckling    Aromas of cherries, plums, dried flowers and sweet spices. It’s medium-bodied with fine tannins and lively acidity. Fruity and spicy. Drink now.

89 Points - Wilfred Wong of Wine    The 2019 Foris Pinot Noir is bright and alive. This wine exhibits lovely aromas and flavors of cranberries and strawberries, followed by a note of black fruit and licorice. Pair it with grilled salmon.

88 Points - Wine Enthusiast    Despite limited barrel time this wine has a smoky-toasty note that penetrates into the finish. The tight fruit is principally raspberries with an herbal frame. The tannins punch up the finish but stop it a bit short.
