Glenfarclas Family Cask 2003 (Cask 1970) Summer Release 2022

Product description

Multi-award winning Glenfarclas Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky has been distilled on Speyside for six generations by one family – the Grants. The Glenfarclas Distillery was legally established in 1836, on the Recherlich Farm at Ballindalloch, in the heart of Speyside. In 1865, John Grant purchased the distillery for £511. Situated in the heart of Speyside – malt whisky country – Glenfarclas, translated from the Gaelic as “Glen of the green grassland”, nestles at the foot of the Ben Rinnes mountain.

The family-run distillery released this Glenfarclas Single Cask Whisky from 2003 in the summer of 2022 for their Family Casks series. The single malt whisky spent its cask maturity from 2003 to 2022 in the 4th fill butt #1970. The distillery bottled the Scotch at cask strength at 55.9% by volume. As a natural Scotch, it also comes without coloring and chill filtration. There are just 593 bottles available worldwide.

The whisky flatters the nose with fruity impressions. He brings oranges and apples. Vanilla and malt penetrate sweetly. A touch of spice completes the aroma. Spicy and fruity on the tongue. It tastes of oranges and plums. Nuts and ginger initiate the finish.
