Canoe Ridge Vineyard is one of Washington State’s most recognized wineries, with its namesake vineyard established in 1989 in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Varieties are focused on Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The name comes from a ridge by the vineyard located along the mid-Columbia River, neat the town of Paterson.
A rich garnet color, this wine shows intense aromatics of fresh, ripe raspberry and blueberry. On the palate, crushed ripe berries, vanilla and leather linger among silky smooth tannins for a pleasing and long finish.
92 Points - James Suckling
Plenty of chocolate, berry and spice character. Medium to full body, chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. This shows poise and tension.
