Billecart Salmon Brut Rose (NV) - 375 ml

Product description

The Brut Rosé is a fresh and elegant Rosé Champagne, blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir vinified as red wine. Radiant colour with graceful effervescence, a persistent mousse and fine bubbles rising slowly in the glass. Subtle and fine aromas leading to an expressive red berry flavour with citrus zest. Creamy and smooth on the palate, evolving to strawberries notes and a raspberry finish. Light, balanced and precise. The best pairing to any happy occasion! Pairs perfectly with charcuterie, sushi, grilled salmon or a langoustine carpaccio. It will also enhance lightly sweetened red berry desserts with an acidic crunch.

96 Points - Wilfred Wong of Wine    After decades of tasting and savoring the Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé Champagne, this wine remains one of my favorites wines in the world. This wine is fresh, bright, and steady with its alluring aromas and flavors of red currants and strawberries. Enjoy it with fresh salmon and avocado hand rolls.

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast    The palest of rosés, this is an elegant, structured wine. Its dryness is balanced by the fine apple and red-currant fruits and the strong sense of minerality. Fragrant and lightly structured, this fine bottling is ready to drink.

92 Points - Wine Spectator    A lively rosé Champagne with a pleasing, citrusy juiciness to the flavors of steeped raspberry, white peach and blanched almond. A subtle thread of chalky minerality winds through the finish. Drink now through 2023.

91 Points - Decanter    Currently based on the 2016 harvest, this is floral and citrussy, showing a lithe, graceful balance. It’s a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Meunier, with about 40% of reserve wine, and red wine accounts for 7% of the blend. Its delicate, subtly expansive flavours of raspberry and strawberry are enlivened by a tangerine-like acidity, and while it feels ripe and full in flavour on the palate, it never loses its sense of refinement and poise, finishing with detailed length and depth.

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate    Based on the 2016 vintage, the new NV Brut Rosé from Billarcart-Salmon has turned out nicely, mingling notes of red berries and plums with notions of peach, dried flowers and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and elegant, it's bright and charming, with a generous core of fruit, racy acids and a pinpoint mousse. Giving and demonstrative, it's already drinking well.
