The wine is made by Hacienda López de Haro, which is located in the area of San Vicente de la Sonsierra in Rioja Alta. San Vicente de la Sonsierra is situated in a privileged location, sheltered from the cold Cantabrian Sea winds by the Toloño mountain range, with the Ebro river to the south providing necessary moisture, creating an ideal microclimate. The winery's philosophy aims to craft "contemporary classics": delightful wines that draw inspiration from the past while capturing the vibrant spirit of La Rioja. Wine Description

This grand wine has a bright cherry-red colour with garnet tones on the rim, showcasing great vivacity and brightness. It possesses a high aromatic intensity. Complex on the nose, it features notes of black fruits, along with coffee, vanilla, roast, and balsamic nuances integrated into an intense bottom note of ripe fruit. Aromas of black fruits predominate, accompanied by balsamic and mineral notes that give it great depth. An interesting touch of liquorice and a sweet, primary background with notes of ripe fruit compote also stand out. It is described as a true mosaic of spices, making it enormously complex.

The wine is made from Tempranillo and Graciano grapes. The Gran Reserva is aged for 30 months in French and American oak barrels. The wine is full-bodied. The palate is fresh, elegant, and round, with a velvety attack followed by a pleasant acidity and a silky and full-bodied aftertaste. It is well balanced, with a very enveloping nature. The fine, noble, and ripe tannins are the result of its slow evolution throughout the extensive aging period. The persistent finish is harmonious and elegant. The ABV is $14.00\%$. The optimal drinking window is now through 2032.
