Domaine William Fevre Chablis 'Bougros' Grand Cru 2021

Product description

Founded in 1959, Domaine William Fevre is at the very heart of the Chablis vineyards. Since its founding, Domaine William Fevre has been taken up with the desire to produce indisputable genuine and fine wines, bringing along a very personal experience in Chardonnay. All the efforts have but one goal – to finely express the subtle most variations in the greatest Chablis crus. Today, Domaine William Fevre is one of the most established and renowned estates in Chablis.

Chablis Bougros Grand Cru has a rich bouquet with intense mineral notes. It is full and round, yet firm and massive on the palate.

Pairs well with fish, shellfish and other seafood, poultry and white meat, all grilled or in a cream sauce.

95 Points - Decanter

On very steep slopes (up to 30%) the clay/gravel soils are low-yielding and lead to intense, ageworthy wines. Much more mineral in terms of both perfume and texture on the palate, citrus fruit is more to the fore here with plenty of acidity suggesting the wine needs several years in bottle before opening. Great precision and laser-like focus. A very fine Grand Cru.

94+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2021 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros Côte Bouguerots is superb, unwinding in the glass with aromas of orange zest, white flowers, fresh mint, buttery pastry and clam liquor, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and satiny palate with a sweet core of fruit, a bright spine of tangy acidity and a long, orange oil-inflected finish.
