Chateau La Lagune 2009

The nose is marked by new oak as well as cassis fruit and seems a touch raw, but it’s early days. Rich, plump, full-bodied, with good weight of fruit. Imposing tannins that are not yet fully integrated, but balanced by spice and verve. A solid wine that may lack a little finesse, but it has persistence and staying power.
