This nine-hectare estate, owned by Jean-Pierre Moueix since 1953, is often called " Lagrange à Pomerol " to differentiate it from its namesake Médocain. It is very well located on the north side of the famous plateau of Pomerol, on a terroir of heavy clay covered with gravel, with for neighbours the most prestigious wines of the appellation. Merlot is dominant (95%), with marginally generous Cabernet Franc. Lagrange wine reveals all the sap of the Merlot which flourishes beautifully on this beautiful terroir of ancient clays.
