The Prisoner 'Cuttings' Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Product description

The Prisoner Wine Company is recognized as one of the most innovative Napa Valley winerys, leading the resurgence of California red blends and earning “cult wine” status.

Cuttings combines the deep, intense flavour of Cabernet Sauvignon with the structure and richness of Petite Sirah and Syrah. A small amount of Zinfandel adds a nice layer of complexity and spiciness. Deliciously smooth with flavours of blueberry, dark cherry and cocoa. Aromas of fresh roasted coffee, black currant, vanilla bean, brown spice, and wild berries. A definite BBQ wine!

92 Points - Wine Spectator    Sleek in feel and restrained in profile, with subtle black tea and anise notes leading to a very focused core of cherry and plum purée flavors. A flash of apple wood appears on the finish. Nicely done. Drink now through 2028.
