Domaine Gassier Nostre Pais Blanc 2019

Product description
In the northern Vaucluse, on the right bank of the Rhone river lies the village of Visan where the legendary mistral winds of Provence sweep over the vines. The Latin name for these north-northwest winds is CERCIUS – the defining feature and raison d'etre for partners Michel Gassier, Philippe Cambie and Eric Solomon to launch this new project. Between the brisk winds and an elevation of 400 meters, the grapes' freshness is protected and then preserved during vinification in concrete tanks.

The pale yellow colour tinted in green announces a wine with a great deal of freshness and purity. The complex nose reveals floral and mineral notes with accents of fresh citrus fruits. Lively and fresh, the aromas of flowers and white fruits, blends with flint. The very soft finish evinces a great deal of minerality.

Notably richer and deeper, the 2019 Costieres de Nimes Nostre Pais Blanc reveals a vivid gold color as well as a honeyed nose of tangerine, apricot, peach, and white flowers. With medium to full-bodied richness, a beautifully balanced, elegant texture, and a solid spine of acidity, this is another terrific white from this team that has loads to love.

91 Points - Wine Enthusiast

Bright yellow-plum and pear flavors are leesy and silken on the palate of this full-bodied yet fresh blend of Grenache Blanc (53%), Clairette (22%) and Viognier (11%). It's a pure-fruited dry white anchored by crisp lemon acidity and a finish dusted with hints of white pepper and nutmeg.

91 Points - Wine Spectator

Inviting, with a shortbread note leading off, followed by verbena, white peach and star fruit flavors. Offers a caressing feel along with good brightness and zip. Tasty. Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Viognier and Roussanne.
