Enkidu E Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Product description
When creating a value Cabernet that doesn’t give an inch in complexity, body or flavour, it can often take a patchwork of carefully sought-out vineyards to bring all of the parts together. Enkidu’s E Cabernet Sauvignon arose primarily from vineyards on the valley floor in Sonoma. It was heightened with 10% Petite Sirah from the Red Hills of Lake County and even includes Cabernet Sauvignon from Pine Mountain at 2,400 feet in elevation in Anderson Valley. This wine is remarkably deep and rich and loaded with dark berries, sweet camphor, dark chocolates and black spice.  The value is unmistakable.

The wine was crafted by Phillip Staehle, who gained valuable first-hand winemaking knowledge at Carmenet Vineyards, which is part of the Chalone Group. It was there that he met the late Dick Graff, who was a pioneer in California winemaking, and Phillip still follows many of the winemaking philosophies that he learned at Carmenet, concentrating on every detail in the winemaking process. Don’t be fooled by this wine’s modest price point. It was made with the same attention to detail and thoughtful winemaking that you would expect from a much higher-end Cabernet Sauvignon.
